Bio:
John Battista De Santis has two decades of experience as and creative director, graphic artist, educator and illustrator.

John teaches  at Pratt Institute, The New School/Parsons, St John’s University City University of New York’s  New York City College of Technology. At City Tech he is also a  OER Research Fellow

He has developed, initiated and implemented  high profile marketing, communication and design strategies for varied international markets. These programs have enhanced and promoted image providing for increased market shares.

Expertise incorporates creative direction print and online, marketing, corporate and international government campaigns, all aspects of editorial publishing and promotional design, and the development of cultural /educational programs.
His experience incorporates illustration,graphic design, creative direction, and  interactive design.

Background includes all aspects of advertising campaign and new media creative direction; traditional and online marketing. Management of small agency day to day operations and all aspects of print and custom publishing design.

Has worked in all  aspects of creative production, design; coordinating with senior management, staff, vendors and creative teams. Management of in-house art departments for agencies, publishing, governmental and non profits. Has an extensive knowledge of Adobe CS as well as producing new media design

John has worked with corporations, international trade associations, cultural organizations, publishers and governmental institutions.

He is based in New York City.
John holds a BFA from The School of Visual Arts in New York City.

Teaching
He is a visiting professor at Pratt Institute, The New School/Parsons, St John’s University City University of New York’s  New York City College of Technology.

 

When not busy with clients or teaching  he is searching for antique books to add to his collection or fixing the family farmhouse in Frosinone, Italy.
